Why don't you move to Russia if you believe it is such a paradise and EU is so awful?

I didn't say it's paradise. I said this war, provoked by US and UK interests, is destroying us. A war that could have been avoided. I want to live in my country, I don't want to live in Russia or in your country. I don't want a nuclear war, and I want a good economy and welfare state.

A war that could have been avoided by sacrificing well being of Ukrainians, and then the people of other post-Soviet nations Russia will invade next. Well, sorry if our live and freedom is costing you the enormous sacrifice of having to drink a slightly cheaper wine.

No, the war could have been avoided if the issue had been taken into consideration since before 2010. Everyone continued to pursue their own interests and this is where we ended up.

The only way this war could have been avoided was turning Ukraine into Russian puppet tyranny like Belarus. But nobody wants that in Ukraine (or Belarus).

No, I believe the problem wasn't addressed in time. Everything has gotten worse.

Which problem do you mean? Turning Ukraine into puppet dictatorship, like Belarus? It was the only thing that could have stopped the invasion. Russia will not tolerate independent Eastern European countries (that are not in NATO).

Do not think that this is what we think in Italy. Unfortunately we had many Russian propagandists here. Like him

Propagandista sara lei.

No, è molto simile.

A buon intenditore.

This war was conceived and started by Russia.

Yes, it was conceived and conducted by Russia in reaction to NATO's eastern enlargement.

The enemy's arguments aren't always meaningless. Diplomacy (if used well) could help smooth out differences and find the best compromises for peaceful coexistence.

Russia is explicitly saying that Ukrainians do not exist as a nation. How do you compromise with that?

I'm unable to comment. The nuances of the ancestral ties that bind you, with all the implications that this entails, are unknown to me.

This means Russia wants to eradicate Ukrainian identity as such, meaning genocide. You can't do it without genocide (just like Israel is unable to destroy Palestinian identity without genocide).

Also Russia has destroyed all these "ancestral ties". They died in Mariupol and Donetsk.
