Björk actually was inspired by lava and vulcanic sounds when she made Homogenic! The beats sound a lot like lava 🌋.

Just finished ripping the audio with exactly that in mind! Didn't know that about Bjork but makes total sense for someone who grew up in Iceland 😉👍

She has since then returned to Iceland, and has been living there permanently for a couple of years now. Her music has always been inspired by nature, but also working together with technology. Homogenic is a perfect display of this and it is possibly one of my favourites ever 🥰.

Will have to give it a listen later. In the 90's I did a project with an Icelandic Alt/Punk girl band back in Chicago that was being produced by Sigtryggur Baldursson from the Sugarcubes. Fun times 😉
