I have never said all pensioners don't pay rent, but that there is a large section who are well off and undertaxed who own their homes and did benefit from nanny tax reliefs. This group needs to be taxed more to help the young who never had the same advantages

Erm…’We pay no rent or mortgage’ - it’s in your post above. Thing is if you start taxing them, then it will carry on to those of us who aren’t there yet. I never got tax relief on my mortgage (which I’m still paying) I’ll also have to work an extra 3yrs to get my pension.

So you want the baby boomers to escape proper contribution to the young just because it may impact you eventually

Proper contribution? How do you propose to do that? & yes, I’m facing retirement with State Pension, currently £997pcm, plus iro £450pcm - which will be taxed. Minimum wage x40hr week take home is £1,816 - about £449pcm more than I will have. (My Council Tax alone is £200pcm)

Some people have an irrational hatred of baby boomers and will listen to no argument against that hatred. We aren’t the ones hoarding thousands of times more resources than we could ever use.
