I saw a post about transactional friendships and how you matter only when you make content and it hit me. A lot of 'friends' and companies discarded or ghosted me when I stopped making gifs, the awards or videos about them. Yeah, it sucked but it led me to meeting those who actually care. 1/2

I feel this. I met a creator at GenCon last year & we were having (what I thought) was a really pleasant convo. At one point, we stopped to make sure we were mutuals on Twitter, and I saw their face change the moment they saw how many (or how few) followers I had. They ended the convo soon after.
