That is also true. That is what Caesar Chavez try to fix. Migrants have been the backbone of this country since its inception.

That’s quite a tautology as U.S. as a country is what immigrants founded. It’s the organization of people who had arrived there from elsewhere. As far as I know the native Americans were doing fine though, getting food and all without the help of the migrants.
