Slotted and drilled front discs, hardened pads and braided lines ordered for the 850. Trying to solve a front disc warping issue. Some of the forums suggested this route. Pictured discs for illustration porpoises only. I know my rotors need 5 holes. I’m just a storyteller.

Having this fun right now with a Disco 4. Dealer seems convinced that everything is ok with suspension and bearings… 🙃

Ultimately I will end up with a Triggers Broom scenario where I’ve replaced all the steering and suspension components. Which is what I’ll do. Everything is 30 years old and I’d rather do it preemptively.

I agree - and probably mentally better than endlessly chasing faults bit by bit…

My xc90 disc warping issue turned out to be suspension or wheel bearing related. After new bearings due to a failure decided to refresh front suspension and after that no more warping. No definitive but reckon bearing was the cause.

Oh ok. That’s interesting. Thank you. That is a useful bit of info. I’ve just replaced all my shocks and springs etc. Maybe I should do bearings and other such items too. In for a Penny as they say. bsky.app/profile/joeh...
