Okay discussed w my friend who is a multi cat owner and we think it would be a good idea to look up how a vet would diagnose it. Like what tests would need to be done, what kind of information is needed, etc. So that if the vet were to dismiss your concerns (which I also think is unlikely, just

based off my experience w vets), you could ask why they don't want to/can't do test xyz. Most vets I've interacted w are very invested in pet health more so than some human doctors
