No, i think what couldn’t be foreseen was the amount of support it got. As you said, the plan was there for all to see, but who would have believed so many would be in favor of it

I think we're just seeing the end result of decades of media induced brainwashing. I'm not letting people off the hook for voting bad, but between tv and social media, I think this shows the power of drowning people in mindless content, to the point that they hurt themselves and others
