This is I feel a bit misplaced: the money that is generated mostly goes towards permits and security. And it took the pressure off of the community to have to scramble every year all year to generate dwindling funds. I agree less corporate, but it really did fulfill a good function.
I believe Humans are Human and should be treated as such! This BS they are using is an excuse to be cruel. Just like the excuses they use for immigrants that just want freedom!

Don't make it sound like drag queens were the only ones to stand up and fight. Many gay men and lesbians along with drag queens and trans people were arrested and fought back. Many of us have to continue to fight for our lives and way of life every day. Happy Pride!!!
