Now, do trickle down healthcare loss: People in town lose Medicaid and can't get care Local physician practices lose patients, lay off staff, and perhaps shut down. Local hospitals lose the revenue from Medicaid patients and have to layoff staff and then shut down. The whole town is affected

How can the estimated 2.4m people keep their benefits? Work, volunteer and/or complete education or job training for 80 hours per month. Parents of children under 14 keep the benefits and don’t have to abide the new requirements. This is reasonable.

Hospitals in small towns are already making plans to Close before Jan 2026 when new Medicaid rules are effective. Folks with Cadillac health insurance will need to travel farther during an emergency! Voting Republican is dangerous!

I've just written to my county's SNAP (CalFresh) administrator asking to interview someone about how the new rules are being rolled out and how many people in the county might lose eligibility. After that I'll contact a couple of NGOs that help people with food to see what impact they are seeing.
