14. I'm not sure it's super helpful to format a lot of human behaviours in all or nothing terms, not everyone needs to either Eat Meat or Be Vegan, it's actually prob not necessary for everyone to Quit Booze Entirely, the middle ground is actually pretty good in a lot of cases, moderation is nice

The dogmatists don't want you to know that there's a middle way between packing and not packing. Just procrastinate unhappily until desperation sets in. Then throw a vague approximation of the requirement into bags of roughly the appropriate volume while crying for your passport like a baby.

15. going to the circus should be more of a thing: at the moment the circus is either for kids or like some kinky edgy thing for polyamorous people in London but watching circus acts is good clean fun, we would be happier if we had more opportunities to go to the normal circus on a Saturday evening

I'm enjoying all of these opinions but am specifically cosigning this one. I went to a circus for the first time EVER last year, a completely normal, posters in local newsagents, tent in the nearby park, travelling circus. It was absolutely brilliant entertainment and I have been missing out.

Ooh we went to No Fit State circuit a while back and it was great. More edgy than traditional but not wanky, and very very talented performers

I've never been to the circus, and I'm sad about that.

This is good advice. I took my kids to Gifford’s circus last week and it was haphazardly wonderful, and obviously the kids loved it, but… I’d really love just to go to the evening performance with the missus, have a cozy drink or two. Maybe next year when the kids aren’t looking.

I like circuses if they're not animal circuses. Love watching stuff like human aerialists and trapeze artists. Cirque du Soleil is awesome

This is a very French thing, I think. I noticed circuses being way more popular there. However, no one is going to convince me clowns and tightrope walkers are worth my time.

Acrobats are awesome to watch! This was Afrique en Cirque in Brighton last December.

Photo from a circus. One incredibly strong man is holding up a pyramid of four people by his legs. There's one man on top, three people below him (the guy on top is standing on the shoulders of the bloke in the middle). The weight of the three people and the man on top is all going through the thighs of the strong man.

Experiences like Puy du Fou are close to being themed circus performances too. Interested to see how they get on when they open over here.
