Unless we talk appliance safety standards or border sign user-friendliness, Europe can never have a plan. To ever conceive of one, let alone discuss it, we should first get a little more of a democratic heartbeat. Both statewise and Unionwise. Democracy is either grown or sleepwalks into farce.
