Right. But what I think, and what I choose to do about it, matter a great deal. While some MAGA are caught up in a millions-strong version of “folie à deux,” some just enjoy owning the libs, to the serious detriment, and even destruction, of everything we all hold precious.

In normal times I'd sort of agree. Most people (including politicians) are searching for a better life. They just differ on the how this is achieved. MAGA is different. It's built on hate. So when you say "we all hold precious" you aren't referring to half of American voters.
