There is a lot of poor people in India, but they have, along with China the fastest growing economy in the world. That’s what 1,45 billion people do for a country. Indians are poor, India isn’t.

The number of consumers in India who would choose Western products over local ones is... how many? That's my point. Their consumers don't have purchasing power to shop for US products.
