From what I’ve heard, local vendors have been less than enthusiastic about selling to Guardsmen (particularly if they’re not DC ones). Also, where are you saying they’re sleeping? The local armories?

I don’t have any first hand information regarding the DC deployment. I’m speaking from my own personal experience from 28 years in the guard in a state with frequent disaster deployments.

That was pre-Don da Con, who apparently doesn’t give a damn about the people he’s using as pawns. There’s no rational reason to do what he’s doing, nor is he providing for those he uses!
