Plenty of crunchy hippie lefties were into this too 10-20 years ago. I remember that well. I am a former farm kid urban guy who was horrified at the food ignorance of the urban left. That was when the left wing supported RFKjr. People have conveniently forgotten all that. Not me though.

In the 70s this was a thing too. I was fortunate to have access to a small dairy that pasteurized their milk but didn't homogenize it. Best milk ever with cream that rose to the top that you could pour off for ice cream, coffee and cooking. Wish I could still get it! But never raw milk in my house.
