As much as Trump wants it, he can't and won't control a population that will only angrier against the government. Seoulites (Korea) blazingly defied martial law back in last December. Ukrainians rose against Yanukovich's regime and killed 13 police at the cost of 108 civilian deaths in Feb. 2014.

This. The South Koreans went into full uprising mode in Seoul, within minutes after martial law was declared. One powerful picture that sticks in my mind from those mass protests was one female lawmaker basically grabbing and then shoving away the muzzle of a soldier's assault rifle.
