No, if he got an IV he would have insisted they put it farther up so we could not see it. My guess is this is from blood thinners, but I'd bet money it's not an IV .

True, but it also depends on if the phlebotomist could find a decent vein besides his hand. If they couldn't, in the hand it goes. My mom had terrible veins, so every time she got an iv, it was in her hand.
