I'm 73 and in agreement. There can be no "centrism" or moderation when one side is pseudo-religious, racist, misogynistic authoritarianism.

Except the fringe left can be a little irrationally nutty too. That can be off-putting to people in the “middle left” as I guess its called. By the time some got through with the word “woke” — just about anything was “woke” that they didn’t like & once again plays into owning definitions by RW.

There simply is no organized radical left in this country. No comparable group to MAGA. So no “both sides”.

In any society, there are always fringe groups. Too often they are used to amass power by their opponents who use their existence to scare people, when in fact they are of no danger at all.

There are not just OPPONENTS controlling “innocent fringe groups.“ There is no dichotomy of absolute good & evil. Do you think the people who amass power CARE what “fringe groups” think or do? The fringe groups are often clueless dreamers. We do not march to Utopia.
