California's there, further ahead than china, GLHF everyone east of the west coast 🤣
Don't count New England out! There are a lot of EVs here.
Great call-out. Any word on whether the U.K. has managed to get those plots to cross this year like California? They're super close!
Oh ha! Not UK. New England as in the northeast area of the US.
Parts of the US embrace the future. It's the murky bits in the middle, Texas and FL that are stuck.
To be fair, interesting enough FL and TX come in second and third for total number of EVs.
Right, but this post is about renewable generation. CA: 57% TX: 30% FL: 10% And FL and TX are massively *increasing* their fossil fuel dependency via unchecked demand...
It may be hard to grasp outside the U.S. market, because things are so bizarre here as a loose republic of states, but it's very difficult to talk generally about "America" anymore because the numbers and results are drastically different. FL and TX are 2nd and 3rd, sure, but that's negligent...
It implies FL and TX are *close* to CA on EVs. They're not remotely. CA has more EVs than the next *ten* states combined, or bottom *forty five*. California has 35% of *all* EVs and is approaching 40%...
In a perfect world we'd be like our western allies and manage our grid, and our renewable transition and EV adoption and trail nationally, but we don't so you don't seem the closeness in outcomes like you do, say, looking at European EV adoption.
With you friend. Here in Sydney we are slow adopters but now well on track with Chinese made cars that are really great.
Nothing makes me smile more than the absolutely warp speed progress of Australia's adoption of renewables and EVs, it's nothing short of extraordinary!!
