And unfortunately, the problem with being really old and retired is that the passions dim and the energies dry up.
Please I’d like to pretend there’s something to look forward to
Oh there is. Two hour breakfasts. Strolls. Leisurely trips. Thinking about things. Pottering. Getting to do ridiculous stuff if I want because nobody (except the cat) is "the boss of me.) Plenty to look forward to, but not the things I thought I would want to do.
I’m starting to garden ffs.
Pottering is my primary retirement goal.
It is an art. It's amazing how much really pleasant time can be get having a cup of coffee, chatting, letting the cat sit between your feet for as long as he likes, or as long as your bladder holds out, & then saying, "Well, what do I WANT to do now?"
