Great question. If an AR-15 weapon was used, trump wouldn’t have an ear. It was supposed to be an “attempt” and worked for trump but someone attending the rally was killed. I’m glad you didn’t believe that story. I was thinking I was the only one.

That building was purposely left open for the attempted assignation. It was in the planning. The area would have been secured. If it was not planned, everyone would have been fired for not protecting trump. But a good plan to affect people’s voting decision, it got the attention that trump wanted

My dad's a vietnam veteran. He didn't carry an AR 15 but it fired pretty much the same round. From what I understand the shockwave coming off that bullet would probably have caused temporary deafness without it even hitting him.

That is such a good thought. It’s the first time anyone suggested that and I think it’s a perfect explanation. The only thing I focused on was the way secret service left him open. In a normal situation no part of his body would have been exposed. And, they would not have stopped for his shoes.

I have been close enough to hear one go past me. I don't know if that means it passed by 2 feet or 10 feet. It does not create enough air movement to feel. It was just a zzzz sound that lasted a fraction of a second. I was at a firehouse in a bad neighborhood on NYE. Lots of gunfire at midnight.
