Yes. People who voted for 47 and those who didn't vote or voted third party completely own this shit show.

They sure do. I don't care what pitiful excuse they offer -- they made a conscious decision that fascism was better than freedom, and acted accordingly.

I still can't walk it that far. Fascism grows on apathy and inaction, not on out right support. That's how it grow in mundanity. The changes to the DC Police are another and possibly most scary part of a long plan. Policing the seat of power should be independent..

You misunderstand the evangelical agenda (Project 2025). They've been praying for this since the late 50s. They're fully behind everything going on right now and openly support the felon & his racist, misogynistic, ableist, hate-filled policies. They think it will hasten the return of their Jeebus.

and if I understand correctly - the evangelical movement started with the tent services during the depression and grew into this crazy mega church operation that prays for Armageddon in the Mideast. I have a brother who is in it up to his eyeballs so we never communicate any longer.

It actually has its roots in the 18th century with revivals that prompted the "Great Awakening." George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, and John Wesley were strong advocates of what they called a personal relationship with God and the necessity of spreading the gospel in order for Jesus to return.

The neo-evangelical movement began in the 1940s. Norman Vincent Peale and his book "The Power of Positive Thinking" lit the spark that birthed the Prosperity Gospel and Word of Faith movements in the 40s and early 50s. It's easy to get them confused. I didn't know some of it until after I left.

It's not apathy or inaction. They believe this country is destined to become the kingdom of heaven on earth, and in order to make it acceptable for their deity, they need to rid it of anyone who isn't just like them. It's not just support; they're advocating for it! I used to be one.
