Let's try something else. Let's try blaming the people sabotaging it, instead of trying to deflect to people that have already done their work. It's like blaming an artist for their statue being vandalized, and it's stupid.

And what about Democrats that refuse to fight or apply laws to Republicans?

Sensible laws should be enforced uniformly. You're trying to deflect still. Trump and the Rethuglicans are in charge of the Executive. Which, if you'll recall, handles enforcement.

Did they always control it? Why didn't Dems enforce anything when they had the power to do so?

They did. Stop lying.

So that's why Trump is in jail now, right? Because Dems wouldn't do something as silly as, say, appointing a lifelong Republican and Mitch McConnell recommendation to oversee the justice department handling Trump's various indictments, right?

Over a thousand prosecutions for J6 and a lot of jail sentences. If we're going to blame anyone we should be blaming Gerald Ford for letting Nixon escape accountability and establishing a lack of firm accountability.

I'm fine with that too, but he's not alive anymore and his current influence over the Democratic party is rather limited. So it's more useful to focus our critiques on our current out of touch and corrupt Democratic leadership that consistently fights harder against progress than against fascism.
