It will also cost a fortune! In Canada, deinstitutionalization was enacted decades ago, in favour of community-based care. It's not been without it's challenges, however the cost of keeping these people hospitalized long-term, was cost prohibitive and caused more harm than good to those people.
Well, they'll be allowed out for 12 hours a day to work in the fields. Those fruits and vegetables aren't gonna harvest themselves once they've deported all the farm workers.
