1 year of World History was & is required, usually completed in 10th grade. That's when I took it in the 80s and when both of my kids took it in the late 2010's. Texas History is 4th and 7th; US History is 8th and 11th.

Oh, no I mean actual memories about being taught world history. Not that it wasn't taught. I have an accidental history degree from UT. I love the subject. However, I had to explain slavery, the civil war and reconstruction to my 16 yr old niece. I'm wondering what is being taught these days in hs.
