I fail to see the logic in a judge ruling that tariffs are illegal and then allowing them to continue for months. That would be like ruling that armed robbery is illegal but allowing the criminal to continue his armed robberies while he appeals his case.

It seems that judges ruling against various things is no different than stating their opinions. There seems to be zero consequence for defying a judge's ruling.
The supposed reasoning is that paying back all the tariffs would bankrupt our Treasury. So, it's like the robber whining that paying back all his previous robberies would leave him and his victims destitute. Yeah.

100%. Guessing I’m not the only one who’s noticed that any legal stay or lengthy appeals ALWAYS allow this regime to continue what they are doing or halt anything they are trying to stop. It’s infuriating.
The delay is for appeal to SCOTUS. So continue robbing until more robbers say it is OK.
Or finding a guy guilty of 34 felonies and allowing him to walk out of the courtroom, run for President, and then allowing him to assume yhe presidency in spite of a constitutional amendment that says, “Hold on there, skippy.” Yeah, I thought that was odd, too.

Been asking same question. Obviously neither party knew. At least someone took the time to do their job and find out. Convinced this is the same with many others things. Still wholeheartedly believe the "immunity memo" can be reversed as actually being a crime as stated in the Constitution itself.
It sounds like a technicality of "reparable harm" i.e. if the ultimate appeal fails, THEN it gets recompensed. The practical question would be, though, to exactly whom and exactly how.
Personally, I’m looking forward to Trumb and the Republicans destroying the country’s economy and never getting elected again. Although, you can never discount the stupidity of the American voter.

It took MONTHS for this decision to be reached. If an Executive Order has the potential to ruin the entire U.S. economy, a challenge to that order should percolate to the top of every court docket. Out legal system is operating on rules and procedures that are about 200 years out of date.
