We've enjoyed a very long period of global peace, relatively. It created generations of weak, naive, disconnected people. Numb, too, as you said. I don't like it but nature is going to do its thing.

But we do not need to be scared, since we are the same people we always were! With faith in ourselves and our common neighbors we can face every crisis. It may become rough, but so? We fail only if we doubt ourselves and envy and mistrust our neighbors.

I’m not afraid of failure, but of how much this might hurt so many people, how lives and all could be lost.
