This seems downstream from a) the proliferation of similar short-form content of crying and starving children in Gaza; and b) further upstream, the photographic documentation of suffering kids in Sudan, Rwanda, Ethiopia, etc. Just another instance of the Imperial Boomerang coming home
A lot of grown people are Numb to all this horrible shit and forget all of this is still, in the grand scheme, at least as new and frightening to these little kids as anything else. And we've already forgotten that this shit wasn't normal in the US until a couple decades ago
Anyway, cosigning the suggestion to get these little survivors in front of all their favorite meals and toys and games and to spend time with their families AWAY from all of this. Since at least these are still options for American children. Grade schoolers aren't built for this shit man
