why have i never heard of her π
There are a good half dozen gods, goddesses, titans and mortals that have some name variation of The Star, *including* Astarion, who was the stepdad to King Minos, marrying Europa who had to deal with Zeusβs bull. The Minotaur also was sometimes called Astarion, after his step-granddad.
Despite of course the Minotaur not actually being related at all to King Minos, because Minosβs wife PasiphaeβCirceβs sister BTWβfell in love with a DIFFERENT white bull Poseidon sent to Minos he was supposed to sacrifice but didnβt because he thought it looked nice. So Pasiphae cursed to love bull
And then Pasiphae asked resident Tinkerer Daedalus to build her a Trojan Horse, but a cow. Built for loooooooooove. Which she then used to have ummm relations with this majestic white bull. And then her kid was the Minotaur. Mythology is WILLLLLLLLD.
i always see minotaur revisionist stuff! which is kind of cool
What kind of minotaur revisionist stuff?
So true. Very very well put. Treat someone like a monster and they may well act like one.
Cows and bulls were like THE top tier religious focus early on. There are bull horns everywhere on Knossos (home of all these stories). Then on Santorini there are identical horns at an ancient site (Atlantis?) that thrived before the island blew up. And sent a giant tidal wave towards Crete.
have you heard of celtic fairy cows????
I mean I would believe hairy coos are fairies, no question. But no?
