Are you saying they are a lost cause. Do you not believe they will accept a different source of information with any optimism? It sounds like you think they have been brainwashed.

They are not accepting or looking for new sources of info at this time other than Fox. Many conversations where I present simple easily proven undisputable facts, they shake their heads & tell me they don't believe me. Mostly they have not been affected enough to force them outside their Fox bubble.

Thanks for sharing the view from inside your community. Unfortunately, there may not be a big enough shock to force people outside their bubble. Elsewhere / at other times, people under stress either double down or give up on mass media and return to the old world of rumour and superstition.

I agree. They are in 2 deep.I think the only strategy that might work is a third party called Conservative, something they already self identify but haven't realized their party has been hijacked. Old Republican talking points minus the fascist. They might vote for that. Splitting the Republican vote

Splitting does seem like the best option for a conservative who does not want to be an authoritarian. Maybe that will happen; meantime there are a lot of bad things happening.
