It's politics not a game with rules to enforce fairness. We should be playing by the rules as they are not wishing they are different.

I don't think people with that response want Dems to use 'triggered' less. They want them to use 'r_d' more and get mad about Cracker Barrel designs, but be fine with Insurrection.

I have lost all faith in Americans after that election. We voted for an amoral, sexual predator and fraudster. He is one of the worst humans on the planet. Americans as a whole are broken like Trump which is why he won. Dem language is not the issue.

It’s a tribal response and if any party knows how to bend that impulse to its will it’s Republicans. The flip side of negging and handwringing about tone *in public view* is it makes Dems look even more consultant-brained and inauthentic. Know your audience. Find what works. Be yourself.

Third Way Democrats in the 1990s abandoned the working class and embraced corporate capitalism. To retain their base, THEY invented Identity Politics--where this language originated. Now they criticize the language instead of shifting their ECONOMIC message. This is to distract the ignorant.
