Message discipline is on if the things that the Republicans do that the Democrats don’t. I believe that they are given a list of talking points weekly & you can tell what they are because all of them repeat the same thing even down to the phrases in lock step. Creepy, but effective.
Agreed 100% on the importance of narrative and notability. That’s not exactly something a party has control over, though, is it? Once you’re talking about how notable a person is or what the narrative or “vibes” are, you’ve switched from a conversation about politics to one about media.
