I still see old photos of him in Maiden and he must have felt like he’d got approved by the Make a Wish Foundation. He deserved so much more. Even this morning, I woke up to Judgement of Heaven… PLAYING IN MY HEAD. I love that guy.

As someone who was massively disappointed by FOTD and No Prayer I was chuffed when X Factor came out as it sounded like they were going back up again. Imagine how high my hopes were for Virtual XI

I hated the fact that Blaze seemed to be blamed for Maiden's lull when it clearly started before he joined and he helped pull them back out of it. He was amazing at Brixton. Although it's very hard to maintain my stance about his brilliant input to the band when someone plays Como Estais Amigos

Theres a lovely little bit in that interview where he talks about the Iron Maiden audition. Along the lines of him thinking “whatever happens, I’m the singer in Iron Maiden for the next hour”.
