Feeling really glum about the world and my work and progress and then my bread loaf experiment fucking bricked and now I'm despondent on a Wednesday morning. Say something nice?

You’re a great friend and I am so pleased our kids have become friends too
I just stared playing Magic with my oldest and now my plan is to go and listen to your (and Wheeler's) podcast because you two are awesome, so I'm excited for that.
Your son is so grown up and looks so happy and YOU played a part in that!
lattes exist so there is a floor on suffering as long as you have access to a latte
Your love and enthusiasm for the world (and those in it) are infectious and have helped keep me looking forward through these troubling times
You bring nothing but joy. The next experiment will work because this one didn't. You needed to fail first.
I'm not a faithful person, yet I find your thoughts and insights interesting and appreciate you sharing them. Also, your Scryfall random posts make me smile. :)
You bring a lot of people a lot of joy. It's natural to feel down sometimes, especially with how the big picture has been looking, especially when you tried to do something simple for yourself and it didn't work out! Feel your feelings. You're great, and better days will come.
Your enthusiasm and kindness are one of the best things about my hobby and though those qualities are often unsung, that hobby would be a nasty place without them.
You're a good man who makes excellent content. You're a bastion of the online MtG community and I sincerely hope I get to share a table with you sometime (Amsterdam next year?)
Your genuine enthusiasm and soothing voice is a valuable part of my post-work relaxation. Thank you for just being you
The Dragonlance fan community appreciates you.
I genuinely get a huge smile on my face whenever we run into each other at GDC, PAX, wherever. Seeing you always makes me grin.
Hoping for good things for you and yours to balance out these bad vibes, you got this :)
I have never met you in real life, but you are the type of person that I want to be around and listen to. Our world is made so much better with people like you in it.
i always appreciate seeing your posts here and your appearances all over the web
Your beard looks great. Beard brothers!
Your podcasts are great and joy to listen to.
You are a wise and entertaining fellow. I enjoy your work.
You remind me that there is joy and love in the world every day and that joy and love are the heart of faith/religion/spirituality.
Shivam, it’s new comic book day. May I suggest hitting a local comic shop and discovering something new or familiar to read? I’m picking up some Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe, and Godzilla books today. It’s a lovely Wednesday to read some fun things.
S&W is probably my favorite MTG content right now, a slight nose ahead of PPRs.
I became aware of you bc of Magic content. In short order, I became aware that we could probably sit and have an engaging conversation for hours without touching upon M:TG. At last MagicCon Chicago, you were the only individual I made my Boy meet, bc you’re a good dude (no offense to anybody else)
Friend, you bring joy and wonder into the lives of so many people. Truly. And any experiment with bread is a good one. Either you get delicious bread, or you learn more about making delicious bread in the future. That's a win.
I work at a bakery, and to have something fail is part of the long lineage of baking. You’re participating in something fundamentally human whether the outcome is eatable or not. What matters is you tried a recipe and now you move to the next attempt! 🧡
Your voice and the voice you give to others is so incredibly important and emphasizes the most important part of Magic, the Gathering. I love the quote you had when pre-Avishkar was coming out about you going into the jungle first and making a path for others so Magic could become more inclusive.
Love your stuff my dude! Keep on kicking ass, calling shit out, and helping Magic be a better game!
The universe may very well be openly antagonistic to the very concept of life, but you help bring a light and joy that shields those around you from that negativity, even if you don't always feel it. Keep being you and doing what you're doing, and we'll all be here trying to return the favor.
Your passion for fighting games made my book exponentially better.
Wait,has it come out?
Not yet. 2027.
I loved the latest episode of Shivam and Wheeler Love Magic
I find it hard to imagine you despondent. I mean sure everyone has off days but in my mind you light up the place every time you walk in the room. I know that’s a hard standard to live up to but when I picture you in my head I just see this warm and exuberant version of you
Shivam, you're an absolute gem. We disagree occasionally, but by and large I enjoy reading your thoughts even if I disagree with your conclusions. Your guest appearances on YouTube videos are always a delight.
Every experience I’ve had with you has either been pleasant, informational, or both. I imagine I am not alone in those sentiments.
You are one of the best parts of my social media experience. When doomscrolling through Bluesky, your profile picture is an anchor that will always make me stop and see what you have to say. Your unbridled joy for things is infectious, and makes me want to grow and improve as a person.
Your hair is magnificent and whenever you share stories about your faith, I am grateful for your generosity.
I don't play much Magic anymore but I still check in with the Casual Magic podcast because you are such a delightful presence in the community and your interviews are always so good. Your passion for Magic and really any of your interests is infectious.
I think you are a really nice person
Cadira, Caller of the Small
Was looking through our wedding photos the other day and quite a few of them feature your smiling mug prominently
And then came across photos of *your* wedding Man you sure like smiling at weddings
We've never met, but I owe you a great weight of thanks for all that you do in the Magic community. You are undoubtedly one of the pillars of what makes this hobby a continual source of enjoyment for so many. Keep your head up, the rain always passes in time.
You are an exceptional prescence in the magic community and bring a unique, measured and incredibly valuable perspective and so much experience that folks should appreciate more. We have our difference of opinions but I have so much respect for how you represent yourself and your effort and care
Your smile brightens up every day
You have been an absolutely delightful person to follow right from the start, and since I saw you are into fighting games from EVO posts, you've managed to get even cooler somehow. I appreciate you for being a consistently awesome presence on this site!
