Endorsements are not a requirement for any candidate. Jeffries never said he wouldn’t vote for Mamdani. Mamdani was successful in securing his nomination w/o Jeffries’ endorsement so why is this a big deal? Jeffries has not spoken against him, but Mamdani definitely spoke against Dem candidates.
To be honest, I don't care whether Jeffries endorses him or not, I only criticize his non-endorsement because of the hypocrisy. Some Mamdani critics took issue with his support for "uncommitted" in the 2024 Democratic primary.
So I ask again, why is it okay for Mainstream Democrats to refuse to endorse Mamdani, but NOT okay for him to back "uncommitted"? Why do centrists and establishment Democrats demand unwavering loyalty from progressives if they're not going to return the favor?

Mamdani did not "cause" anything. As a Muslim, he was obviously upset with the Biden admin's handling of the Gaza war. And to be clear, I'm not asking for Jeffries to endorse him, I'm only calling Jeffries out for hypocrisy, given that he endorsed Eric Adams in 2021.

My answer is: People are allowed to vote for whoever they want. You seemed to have forgotten that it was Mamdani that told people who not to vote for. But you already know that. Stop reminding us that your guy not only helped to bring hardship on his own people, but also to others here in the US.

Keep in mind, any candidate can make a bunch of promises. Keeping those promises is totally different. Some of his policies are not solely at his discretion, but will require approval from state legislators as well as the governor. Jeffries already knows that.
