Put simply: 8 - 12 million of the 24 million ACA exchange enrollees will be priced completely out of coverage. The other 12 - 16 million will have to pay through the nose to keep theirs, in most cases having to downgrade to a worse plan while still paying far more. acasignups.net/ira-subsidy-...

Florida drop down single at high income bracket, it says 1.82% does that mean premium increase by that amount based on what premium should have been with no subsidy? Gold plan w/o subsidy is around 1400$ per month. Then times 1.82%= new premium effective Jan 2026? Goes from zero to 1430$ per mo?

But when will this land? The lag between now and when the impact is felt means people will NOT associate their loss of coverage with this Bill and the GOP. Remember how voters thought Biden restricted abortion b/c Dobbs was on his watch?

But aren’t these healthcare changes taking effect in 18 months? That makes it 2027 so noticed out later in 2026?

Will the news hit home around September or October, when people find out what their own household would have to pay for continued ACA coverage for 2026, starting in January?

Sone states will be more proactive than others, and the insurance carriers generally send out notices to current enrollees a few weeks before Open Enrollment begins on November 1st.

Trump did promise in his last administration to replace the ACA with a better bill. We are still waiting.
