Well, that's less than the 40% some predicted...
We need more people to check out this site, pnhp.org ; which is a organization of healthcare providers that advocates for universal healthcare for everyone. Lots of data showing how this can improve health outcomes for everyone.
Guessing game: Who gets the blame for this? 1. Biden 2. Harris 3. Obama 4. Hillary
With no mandate on how much you can charge, the ACA was an insurance company giveaway, anyway. We need Medicare for All.
this is the benefit from the GOP’s beautiful bill
We are all fucked. We worked pretty energetically to get to this cliff and we are loving the jump.
Over 550,000 Michiganders--including my own family--currently have ACA exchange coverage. 91% of us are receiving financial subsidies to help reduce net premiums. Many of us are about to lose those subsidies entirely; the rest will see their assistance plummet. acasignups.net/ira-subsidy-...
The 9% currently unsubsidized will see their premiums increase by 17% on avg., which is pretty bad. The vast majority of the 91% currently subsidized will see our premiums increase FAR MORE than 17%.
There's caveats depending on various factors, but here's some net premium examples out of Lansing, MI: --Single 50-yr old earning $40,000/yr: DOUBLE. --Single parent earning $60,000/year: +79%. --Family of four earning $70,000/year: TRIPLE. --64-yr old couple earning $90,000/yr: QUADRUPLE.
Anyway, again, if you find my healthcare wonkery useful & would like to support it, you can do so here, thank you! secure.actblue.com/donate/acasi...
Such fantastic wonkery, though! Thank you, Charles!
Can you post the one for South Carolina? I want to share it with an imbecile/friend who denies there will be any change at all.
South Carolina: Avg *gross* premium hikes: 24% acasignups.net/rate_changes...
South Carolina: NET premium hikes (these still have to be updated to reflect additional fuckery by the GOP & Trump admin, so it’ll be even worse than shown here for most enrollees): acasignups.net/ira-subsidy-...
Let us not ever forget why ALL this unwarranted criminal filth is happening. It is bc of republican leaders.
Hey, billionaires gotta live too, ya know.🙄
Just got a bulk email from my Medicare advisor that everyone has to make an appt to come see her as there are MAJOR changes coming to everyone's policies this year..
But there'll now be a beautiful White House ballroom.
Trump take healthcare access.
Heath care is not working for many Americans. Maybe this will push the state back to the blue side.
Michigan - read that and weep. Your representatives signed you up
