…except that it’s just as bad in most other states red or blue. My own family’s premiums are likely going up $6,000 next year (if we stay on the same plan which obviously we won’t be able to).

I get it. It's sucky. We'd been priced out of insurance, too. We learned it was cheaper to self-pay. It works if you don't end up in the hospital for anything major. When we had insurance, the perpetual denials cost us a fortune - $56K with insurance one year. The system truly sucks.
