According to @the-downballot.com, "...Trump last year carried the 1st District, which is based in the Sioux City area, by a 55-44 margin." If the current D+9 holds, that's another FLIP of a red district via a 20-point Dem overperformance!

FWIW, Downballot has CA AD-63 down as R+10 and AL HD-11 down as a blood red R+82 (Harris only received 9% of the vote there).

...which means that technically speaking, Dem Alexandria Braswell is actually *overperforming* by nearly 5 pts there at the moment.

I mean theres still sundown towns in blood red parts of Alabama so getting above 10 percent in those areas is a win.

HD 11 is so white it glows.

Meanwhile back in Georgia, it looks like Dem Debra Shigley ended up overperforming by nearly 20 points after all! It's gonna go to a runoff where she'll still be a serious underdog, but Mazel Tov to her regardless and she'll still need our help for that!

This was the goal - get her into the top two and then push hard for the runoff next month to reach out to potential voters that didn't vote for her on August 26th in GA SD-21, as well as get those who voted for her back to the polls on September 23rd (plus early voting on top of it).

It's certainly way better than leaving the seat uncontested... we have to try, even if there's really little to no shot of winning the seat - it gives voters a choice and local Dems involved in the race.
