Here's the truth. If wages kept pace with growth, minimum wage would be $30. It's $7.25 and tipped minimum wage is $2.13. 70% of people working full-time qualify for SNAP. 77 million (or 1 in 5 ) Americans are enrolled in Medicaid. It's government policy creating need for public assistance.
According to the press release, they expect ~107,000 residents of #NY15 alone to lose healthcare coverage due to the #BigUglyBill, and that's just via Medicaid & the Essential Plan. Several thousand ACA exchange enrollees will also be priced out of coverage. That's over 15% of the total population.
