📣 IMPORTANT: I can't stress this highly enough: 23.4% is the weighted average premium increase for *currently unsubsidized* ACA enrollees only. For most of the > 90% who currently receive federal subsidies (~21M Americans, myself included) the NET rate hikes will be higher than 23%. MUCH higher.

To clarify: 23%: Avg rate increase for *unsubsidized* enrollees 75%: @kff.org's estimate for avg. NET rate increase for *all* ACA exchange enrollees overall 200%, 300%, 400% or even higher: NET rate increase for some ACA exchange enrollees: acasignups.net/ira-subsidy-...

Wow thanks for your work on this. My family gets our insurance through our work. I assume this will increase premiums for us as well. Any insight on that?

Actually, many won’t because in many cases they’ll lose eligibility for any subsidies as well.

an increase in the cost of your "coverage" don't actually expect CARE coverage is not care. the system is beyond fucked we need to END for-profit health insurance for EVERYTHING other than catastrophic expenses If we don't want a public option for appendectomies and antihypertensives go with layaway

I don't hold out much hope for either PA Repubs or PA Dems, not since Fetterman. Also hope that Maine Dem candidate for Senate doesn't turn out to be another Fetterman.

Yeah, most people I know in this situation (including me) assume we will be without insurance next year.
