That was not unheard of in the 1960s-early ‘70s! 😁…if asked what color her bridesmaids’ dresses were going to be, the bride would say “I’m having a rainbow wedding” (to be honest, if asked, most grooms probably had no idea what the dress color(s) would be 😆). Wedding planning’s very different now!

😄 my aunt had one in the 40’s, and my brother and his wife had one in 1967. I was in light green, and jealous of the gal in yellow, because I was going thru a yellow phase then. At least it was not a crazy dress and I could wear it again at the band concert. 😄

😂 I hear ya! Isn’t it funny, the things we remember? I was never in a rainbow wedding, but my sister was—velvet dresses in jewel tones with funny little hats that had the short-veil thing going on. Lots of hats back in the day—must’ve been because heads had to be covered in Catholic churches. 😊

Oh jeez. I was in a wedding where the brides mom made all our dresses and hats. It was a pillbox type only smaller. I felt like the organ grinder’s monkey or a bellhop. I tore it off right after leaving. 😏
