I think the Covid stuff did affect kids in some interesting ways, but the most obvious is that an 18 year old in 2024 was 9 when Trump first came down the elevator. Someone who was 25 was barely getting out of high school. A lot of support was likely just misdirected blame.
Shitbags like Andrew Tate and Jordan Peterson in particular. Really f*cked up a lot of dudes.
Low information generation. They think like crows. Shiny objects, freebies, chaos.
What did and didn't schools teach when the 45-64 year olds were at that age?!
The internet is undefeated.
It's funny. At the dawn of the internet age, so many thought that having all the information at your fingertips was going to make people so much smarter and more informed. Unfortunately, the complete opposite happened.
Bro-casters
I don’t know how he was popular with my generation (Gen X)…we grew up with him and saw what a joke he was by the late 80s-early 90s. His 21st century dipshittery was just more evidence he was a loathsome scumbag to me.
Perhaps it was the toxic maleness he projected that appealed to young males, those who rebelled against decency & goodness in favor of being tough, macho boys who used girls & young women like kleenex & didn’t gaf about others besides those in their little club. #JoeRogan #FOXNews #UsVsThem #Incels
Still can comprehend bro podcaster popularity… like why is it the mullet guy and News radio guy and not the dough boys?
People raised with Fox News are conditioned to be easily misled.
30-44 year olds all took ICE jobs it looks like.
Truly something went wrong for today's youth.
until my dying breath I will never let Gen Z live this down, mainly to deflect attention from my own generation
If Gen Z had more common sense than their parents and grandparents they wouldn’t have voted for him in the first place.
Young voters sometimes need to learn their lesson by feeling the consequences of their actions. Keeps happening with the liberal to libertarian FDP in Germany. The last election was the second time they went from being part of the government majority to not even being represented in parliament.
Problem was, a lot of young and even first-time voters in 2024 were too young to remember much from 2016 and Trump’s first term, and Democrats failed to remind them. Joe Biden was old and groceries were expensive, but this Trump guy, what a novelty!
