They should also take a page from Canada’s election process, one person one vote. No electoral college. Also our elections are very quick. Once American elections are done they’re already campaigning for the next one. Nothing gets done, no bills passed but theres a whole lot of campaigning.

In my view, the problem here is that inequality is very much about distribution of power. Instead of easily corrupted attempts to limit the wealthy from buying power/influence, why not solve the issue at its roots?

because we have to go through the powerful to do that... ... and how are you going to do that. But it's in the interests of politicians not funded by Musk etc to limit such contributions, so that's possibly achievable. But if you can work out how to achieve it, best of luck.

Yes, we'll have to go through the powerful with every little measure against their class interests. As long as the unequal distribution of wealth persists it will remain an uphill battle. So perhaps instead the question should be "how to elect politicians who serve only working class interests?"
