The right will all agree that they're on the right, and that they hate the left. The left can't even agree on who is on the left, and will spend all of their energy on purity tests to essentially eliminate themselves as a political force by banning people that ONLY agree with 90% of what they want.
Republicans stick together like glue. If they happen to deviate. They are banished. So that doesn’t happen unless they have a new cushy job to go to. Democrats don’t seem to understand the concept. They talk shit about each other and bash the new younger generation. They are their own enemies.
Well, you're not wrong... but let's look at why that is. Many layman republicans are hyper religious, under educated, and grew up with crass, racist parents. (Not all, but many.) The reason I mention these things, is because unless they get out of their comfort zone, they live by the church guilt.
Democrats, by large, are educated, live in urban areas (often intn'l ports), and are thus repeatedly exposed to multiple cultures. Church is not their sole source of entertainment during the week. Education taught them to critically think. BOTH SIDES have ignored what the other lives day-to-day.
Again, none of this is an all-or-nothing take. Real education Real exposure to cultural differences Better living conditions These basics will help elevate the worst of us. Church currently also largely breeds close minds by indoctrination. Anyone can say what they want and say it's God's will.
(Generally speaking) Liberals should absolutely talk shit about each other, in the sense that they know enough to be better, and they're supposed to know better, listen, and care. Republicans are currently a cult. So measuring the two against each other is not exactly a fair metric.
Republicans do not have a sense of accountability to anyone but themselves. They are fed racist propaganda from leaders, churches, family members, coworkers, & internet bandwagons. They're not educated enough to notice a scam from someone looking to make a penny from LIKES. (Ie. Critical thinking)
I'm not disagreeing there, but we can't defeat a unified cult with 10 groups of differing opinions who refuse to work together based on 1 or 2 differences. The right succeeds because they'll allow anyone to join the cult. The left loses because they can't decide who is or isn't left enough to run.
You're comparing liberals and Republicans. That's a comparison between an ideology and a political party. I compared the right and the left which is a comparison of two ideologies. Dems aren't left. They're center-right. There is no unified left-leaning party in the US to compare to.
