So I didn't grow up with US civics classes, can someone clear something up for me? What's to stop any future President from reversing every single Trump executive order with a stroke of their pen?

Nothing, which is why the EOs saying "yes/no you can/can't provide birth control/abortion services with your international aid money" are a day 1 priority for presidents.

Nothing. It's generally not done out of "respect" for the predecessor, but the really bad EO's are undone. Biden had a stack of EO on his 1st day to reverse.

Yeah, I remembered Obama going on an EO rampage to "Trump-proof" the country, and wondering if Trump couldn't just go "Uno reverse" on that. And he did.

Nothing. Also, now that trump has over reached and gotten away with it, the next POTUS can do the same things.

U.S. civics classes largely suck and only give you the basic of basics, but as far as I know, nothing.

NOTHING. That’s why presidents don’t use it instead of begging congress to pass laws. Even the orange clown knew this. He said congress should pass immigration reform. He didn’t WANT that but his point was correct anyway. He’s hoping this will all keep him out of prison somehow
