This!! This fucks me off so much! It’s the entitlement of praying and believing your prayers will be answered over others when there are children literally suffering and starving on the daily all over the world. But Jim prayed harder for his football team to win so it’s his turn this week. 🙄
If prayers work, that means there’s more people praying for more dictatorships, more war, disease, natural disasters, misogyny & children starving, & being shot to death than aren’t.
As i understand it , in Christianity generally, prayers arent supposed to get specific results anyway...
Who knew God’s Will boils down to a popularity poll, as if God is looking at hoi polloi crowd in the Coliseum to decide whether the gladiator lives or dies? If they don’t get it after a gunman murders kids praying in church, it’s unlikely they’ll get it from Larry David, but it’s still funny…
That is funny. It’s ironic so many kids were swept away from a bible camp in Texas where hog is big & now kids shot at mass in a church. God hates religious kids more now apparently.

I get really irritated when people say “We have our health, $, safety, beauty, blah blah blah, we’re blessed”. I always correct them and say “No, you are not blessed, you are LUCKY. When you say ‘blessed’, you are essentially saying that a family who doesn’t have those things is CURSED”.
