Yeah, I don't necessarily need to consume *more* media on racism and fascism. Something lighter sounds pretty good, I'll check those two out!

Oh, well there go most of my recommendations.
Lol, those recommendations are still welcome! I figure given my feelings about the format in general, I'm going to bounce off of most of the ones I try, so more is definitely better
Fair. I only got into them when I started having a long commute, and then only some stuck with me. There's also a danger of when they get too close to my own knowledge, I start to nitpick.
Michael Hobbes is in a few I like (you're wrong about, maintenance phase, if books could kill). Behind the Bastards has many different kinds of dark, so choose your own adventure. In bed with the right has good guests sometimes.
If Books Could Kill is definitely already near the top of my list, and I'll check out his others too!
You'll find things to annoy you in any of them (e.g. Michael sometimes misunderstands how stats work or mischaracterizes Foucault) but it's not enough to send me away.
Also, I find I have to hunt for an episode in the middle of a new podcast that I'm most likely to enjoy in order to get a sense of whether I want to listen to the rest.
