Same is already happening in finance, with many entry level jobs done by AI. In a few years people who graduated with help from AI will be expected to join the workforce with five years experience under their belt.

It's pretty wild that many do not understand that these word machines are the worst of copy/paste/commit developers. I'll admit that working with Claude 4.1 Opus can speed up some processes, bang out many lines of CRUD code, but for anything involving logic, ETL, messaging, etc - nope.
